Our Story

Here at Kirsten's Dance Academy we understand the importance of opportunities, especially performance opportunities, as it gives the students bundles of confidence and helps them grow as a dancer and performer which is why we put on one showcase each year. In the past we have performed on stage at Disneyland Paris, Blackpool Winter Gardens and Alton Towers resort. The exposure to different levels of competition results in great team work and work ethic.

Our vibrant dance school in Mossley, Tameside, UK was opened by Principal Miss Kirsten Swift (I.S.T.D) over 10 years ago in the Woodend Mill, Mossley. Our studio space has doubled in that time and now has three studios. Studio one (1680sq feet) has a dedicated dance area with a fully mirrored wall and ballet barres on three walls plus two portable ballet barres. Studio two (1320sq feet) has a fully mirrored wall with ballet barres on two walls. Studio three (500sq feet) has a fully mirrored wall and a ballet barre wall. All 3 studios have quality sound systems which can accommodate all the modern sound devices.

A large waiting room, kitchen area with tea, coffee and refreshments. A reception room with a dance wear shop stocked with leotards, tutus, tap, jazz and ballet shoes plus lots more. We have our own toilets.

Our teachers and student teachers are focused on your child's care, well being, progression and enjoyment.

You can keep an eye on your precious ones on our built in camera systems.

Everything your child will need to get started is available to borrow at the studio until you are sure your child is enjoying the class, please ask at reception.
